Vivere in sintonia con la natura e la terra è un ideale a cui spesso si fa riferimento.
La sfida progettuale è stata quella di ristrutturare un edificio esistente immerso tra le colline, cercando di intervenire il meno possibile e compiendo le sole opere strettamente necessarie con il minor spreco di energia.
I compromessi esecutivi sono diventati il pretesto per evidenziare la bellezza dell’imperfezione di antichi materiali e per studiare dettagli semplici e di forte impatto emotivo. Il pavimento del piano terra è in coccio pesto, come richiamo alla sensazione di camminare sulla nuda terra; per contrasto, le camere vengono separate da leggeri paraventi in tessuto i cui incastri lignei facilmente modificabili danno il senso dell’effimero.
La semplicità e la frugalità di alcune soluzioni rispecchiano la volontà di porre l’attenzione sulla ricerca di una stabilità interiore autentica.
The idea of living in harmony with nature is something people often aspire to.
To renew an old building trying to respect the original character of it was the main challenge of this project. Therefore it was necessary to intervene as little as possible without energy wastefulness.
Executive compromises became an opportunity both to highlight the beautiful imperfection of ancient materials and to study simple and emotional details. The main floor paving is made of coccio pesto to recall the feeling of walking on ground; conversely the first floor rooms are separated from each other with fabric screens on a wooden structure to evoke the feeling of lightness.
Simple and modest solutions reflect the will to research and aspire to an inner and deep balance.
